The driver's side power seat doesn't move forward (and rarely back, though its almost fully back). Makes it a bit difficult for my girlfriend to drive, and that's an issue since we're driving 1600 miles in about a month. I've looked everywhere online for a replacement switch, or motor, or seat, and simply can't find anything anywhere. I just started contacting scrapyards, but most of their stock is Montero Sports.
Can anyone give me any advice on finding this part? Is there any way I could swap in a manual seat, or manual seat track, and rig it to work?
Another seat pic for reference, and the car itself.
I'm near giving up at this point, unless I can source a whole seat at one of these scrapyards. I'm located in Chicago, so there's a few around, but it's still not a cut and dry task. I absolutely HATE Montero Sports for how difficult they make my internet searches.

pull out your multimeter, take the seat out, and start testing. Those motors get used so infrequently I bet it is a wiring issue. If not pull the motors out and bench test em. Screw finding a new one, just rebuild it.

LKQ in Chicago has a few Monteros in stock. Good luck finding a new seat.

Have you not tried opening your search to Shogun and Pajero (Euro and Asian names for the Montero)?
Though a good repair would probably be the best thing as it doesn't appear to be a stress tear and could probably be done by heat welding a patch to the inside and a leather dye to the join to blend it in.

I've always had good luck finding parts at junkyards using car-part.com.
The closest I could find to you is at Roz Auto Salvage in Milwaukee. They don't list a price but it's stock # 13P429.
Hope that helps!

Try these. This site, if you go back and search from the home page, will also have just the motor or just the switch. Hope this helps.

Try whacking the motor with the end of a screwdriver. It may free up the motor. You should also pull the plug from the motor and check to see if you are getting voltage to find out if it is the motor or the switch. If it is the switch pulling it out and cleaning all the contacts (if you can reach them) could help with your issue. Other than that You will probably have to search the junkyards for a switch and motor. Just try to diagnose your issue first. Also if you have a powerprobe and the motor is good you could just use that to feed power to the motor to move your seat.
Basically, get a DVOM and start checking where your issue is, it could also be cut or broken wires that you just need to do a simple wire repair.

Thanks! $100 for the whole seat. If I can't fix it, this will probably be my answer.

I'm going to attempt a repair next weekend. I have searched for the other names, but it tends to bring me to international websites (Australia, SA, etc)

Sourced a seat. My leather is cracked, so for $100 I'll probably just replace the whole thing if I can't fix it. Thanks!

The dealer, if that's what you're implying, quoted me $500 for a new foglight. A foglight. They also mis-diagnosed a worn differential, trying to get me into a $1500 unnecessary repair, among many other false problems. Done with them.

I plan to take this one well over 200k. Any tips for longevity? I've read that they need a 4-wheel alignment every 12k miles religiously.

Shit that's expensive! Check out specialty shops, and maybe people that deal with electronics.

Good to know they hold value too! I just had a bunch of work done, too, like alignment, tires, brakes, coolant line, ABS sensor, etc to get it in tip-top shape for a cross-country towing trip.
